Particle Image Velocimetry, commonly called PIV, is an optical measurement technique that provides instantaneous velocity vectors in a flow field. It is especially used to analyse the organized structures in the turbulent flows.
S2A owns a 3D stereo PIV system usable in both wind tunnels. In the Full Scale Wind Tunnel, zones like wheel housings, undercarriage, rear view mirrors or wake can be studied.
